Prof. Dr. Giorgio Behr
In the course of my graduate studies at the University of St. Gallen, I’ve discovered my passion for journalism. First I wrote for a small local paper, then for the Swiss insurance specialist paper „Schweizer Versicherung“ and economics weekly „Handelszeitung“. After Uni, I took the role of a business consultant at the TV station ProSieben. Thereafter, I joined UBS as a relationship manager for investment clients, but got a qualification as a web publisher on the side.
In 2001 I returned to journalism at the internet portal Moneycab. Two years later, I switched to CASH, the then largest economics paper in Switzerland. In parallel, I worked on my CFA Charter and got hired away by Swiss public TV for the news program. At Swiss TV, I developed a daily markets program and acted as reporter and economics commentator. After 3 years of current journalism on TV, I changed to BILANZ in 2009, which ist he leading economics magazine in Switzerland, where I am currently heading the Finance editorial team.
